Devon man injured in Egypt blasts
A Devon man has been seriously injured in a triple bomb attack in Egypt that killed at least 23 people on Monday. Henry Luce, 42, from Cadhay, near Ottery St Mary was in the resort of Dahab when the bombs went off. He was with his wife who was uninjured.
Mr Luce, cousin of Lord Luce, who as Lord Chamberlain is head of the Queen's household, is in a stable condition in a Cairo hospital, said his family. Police in Egypt have arrested 30 people in connection with the attack.
In a statement, the family said: "The Luce family would like to inform his friends that Henry is in a stable condition and that we are grateful to those who assisted him at the scene. We are also relieved that his wife is unharmed." Mr Luce's wife Therese, 41, is at her husband's bedside. The couple, who have three daughters, had travelled to the Red Sea resort on Saturday.
