Three held over Earl's Court tube track death

by Murdo Maguire last modified 24-11-2006 05:30

Three men have been arrested after a man died when he was hit by a London Underground train.

Two men, aged 25 and 17, fell on to the track from the eastbound platform of the Piccadilly Line at Earls Court station on Thursday afternoon. The 25-year-old was killed and the 17-year-old was seriously injured and is being treated in hospital. Major disruption was caused as a section of the Piccadilly line was closed in both directions.

British Transport Police are now appealing for anybody who saw the incident on the crowded platform to come forward.
