Bournemouth workman trapped by falling tree

Fire crews had to free a workman who became trapped when a tree fell on him in Bournemouth.

The man, who is aged in his 30s, was in Branksome Wood Road when the tree fell from a private garden in the morning. He suffered leg injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance, although his condition was not thought to be serious.

It is not yet known what caused the tree to fall. The road was closed while council workers cleared away the tree.
