Builth Wells driver, 90, dies in two-car Herefordshire crash

by Murdo Maguire last modified 23-04-2007 16:39

A 90-year-old driver died and his woman passenger was injured when their car collided with another car in Herefordshire.

Their blue Vauxhall Vectra estate and a green Renault Scenic crashed on the B4362 at Lucton on Saturday. Both vehicles had been travelling from Mortimer's Cross towards Lucton.

The man, from Builth Wells, died later at Hereford County Hospital. The woman was taken to the same hospital with non-life threatening head injuries. The occupants of the other car were not seriously hurt.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
