Cycle death in Christchurch: police appeal for crash witnesses

Police hope witnesses will remember seeing Mr Gregory before the crash

Thomas Gregory, of Morley Close, Burton, Dorset, was cycling in Stony Lane, Christchurch, when he was in collision with a blue Renault Clio car. The pensioner was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pc Kevin Adlem said he hoped witnesses to the accident, which happened on 29 June, would come forward. "I am very keen to hear from anyone who saw Mr Gregory on his bike in Christchurch before the collision," he said. "I'm hoping that releasing the picture of Mr Gregory will prompt people's memories about the events of that evening - and a vital witness may then come forward."

A woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but has been released on police bail without charge.
