Man rammed with car in Maidenhead Christmas Day fight

by Murdo Maguire last modified 28-12-2006 07:10

A man was left with head injuries after being 'deliberately hit' by a car during a street fight in Berkshire.

An altercation occurred between a group of men, who police said were aged in their 20s, in Harrow Lane, Maidenhead in the early hours of Christmas Day. One man was hit by a blue Vauxhall Astra and suffered head injuries, a broken arm and shoulder. Detectives have said the car was driven at the man and have appealed for witnesses to contact them.

Det Con Paul Mills said: "At this stage of the investigation it would appear the car was driven at the victim deliberately. We are currently pursuing several lines of inquiry to try to establish a motive."
