Man seriously hurt in A396 Devon road crash

A man has suffered serious injuries in a road accident in Devon.

Two cars, a Volkswagen and a Volvo, were involved in the collision on the A396 near the village of Rewe, Exeter. The accident occurred on a left-hand bend on the road coming out of the village heading towards Tiverton. Diversions were put in place.

Police said the casualty suffered serious arm and leg injuries, plus cuts and bruises. He had to be cut from the vehicle before being taken to hospital.
