Pedestrian badly injured in North Yorkshire crash

A pedestrian is in intensive care after he was hit by a car in North Yorkshire.

The 33-year-old man was walking on Holme Lane, Sutton-in-Craven, when he was hit by a silver Ford Fiesta on Sunday night.

The driver of the Fiesta, a 17-year-old boy, has been arrested and is being questioned by detectives.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman urged anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw the Fiesta before the incident to come forward.
