Pedestrian badly injured in Witney crash

A pedestrian was seriously injured when he was hit by a car in Oxfordshire.

The man was struck by a Renault Clio on Mill Street in Witney on Friday evening, according to police. He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries. The woman driver was not injured.

The road was closed for several hours while Thames Valley Police investigated the scene. Officers are asking anyone who saw the crash to contact them.
