Cab driver injured with metal bar

by Murdo Maguire last modified 19-01-2007 08:50

A Nottingham cab driver has suffered a broken arm and head injuries after being attacked by a man armed with an iron bar.

Police are looking at CCTV footage to try and track down the attacker who stole cash from the driver after the attack in Sneinton. Sgt Leona Scurr from Notts Police said they were not connecting the robbery with other recent attacks on drivers. The driver needed 16 stitches to treat his head wound.

Police have just released details of the attack, which happened on 15 December outside Colwick Woods Court.
