by Murdo Maguire last modified 19-01-2007 08:39

Police in Devon are looking for a man who tipped up a table while a woman was dancing on it at a Christmas party.

Officers in Plymouth are appealing for witnesses after the 25-year-old woman punctured her lung and broke her ribs in the incident.

Several companies were attending the Christmas function at the ballroom of the New Continental Hotel on 15 December. Officers believe the man was wearing a dark suit.

The woman, who broke three ribs, has not been back to work since the incident.
