The death-defying stunt happened near a footbridge over the West Coast Main Line in the Bolehall area of Tamworth, Staffordshire, about half a mile south of the town's railway station.

Two carriages from the train derailed and crashed in a tunnel near Jesus station, forcing rescuers to evacuate 150 passengers. 41 are so far confirmed dead and 47 injured. Two of those in hospital were reported to be in a "very critical" condition. Police say more bodies may still lie in the wreckage.
